Madisons NY Bar & Grill: A Montreal Steakhouse

Last night I had the pleasure to eat a meal at the “newest” hot spot on the West Island, “Madisons NY Bar & Grill”. I was a little sceptical about another steak house on the West Island of Montreal, let alone with all the other competitors on the island itself. Nevertheless, I took the plunge and was pleasantly surprised. The exterior of the building does not do justice to the paradise one finds inside. The one time Kripsy Kreme Donut shop has now transformed into a slice of a sophisticated New York City Steakhouse. The portions are generous; the staff is proficient, friendly and professional. The bar is welcoming with televisions displaying the latest sports, & news. The décor is warm and modern and an easy place to lose track of time waiting to be seated. There are even televisions in the washroom, so you don’t need to miss a minute of the Hockey games. The prices were reasonable, and the dessert menu had many options, including a brownie dessert to die for. While this is not my favourite steakhouse on the island, if you’re in for a change of pace, I would recommend you check it out. Bon Apetit!

Went there with people from work & everyone agreed that the ribs were better than anywhere else. We tried a few apps & particularly liked the calamari & spinch dip. No one walked away hungry & everyone enjoyed the evening.
